A trumpeter with the Duke Ambassadors who moved to Hollywood, Florida in 1950, recorded on location and in his parents' home, ran the short lived Criteria Gold Coast jazz label, and built Criteria in 1958 with a loan from his father. Sold the studio to Joel Levy deep in debt and attempted a late 1990s comeback with the Albert brothers.
