Street Survivors began at Criteria in April 1977 with Tom Dowd; the band and its management rejected the first version and recut the album at Studio One in Doraville that summer, and the released record credits Criteria, Studio One and Muscle Shoals Sound, with Dennis Hetzendorfer as the Criteria engineer. The April 1977 Criteria takes were issued on the 1991 Definitive Collection. Legend (1987) was remixed at Criteria with Dowd producing, with July 1987 overdubs. On the map for those two documented sessions, not as a Southern rock association.
